The ULTRACEPT annual board meeting was hosted by ULTRACEPT partner Guangzhou University (GZHU). Due to the travel restrictions caused by COVID-19, the workshop was held in person by the research group at GZHU and as an online event using MS Teams on Thursday 25th March 2021. The meeting was combined with the ULTRACEPT Workshop 3 event. Attendees included students, researchers, academic staff, partner leads, and the project manager. The EU Project Officer Irina Tiron joined the group for the board meeting component of the event.
The mid-term meeting provided partners with an opportunity to engage in a fruitful and constructive dialogue between the consortium and the Research Executive Agency. The impact of COVID-19 on the project was also discussed as well as strategies to overcome the impact of the ongoing travel restrictions on the secondments. Thus far, the consortium has been able to progress the work packages by working remotely during lockdowns and also keeping in touch and collaborating via online platforms.
